Are you unsure if Preliminary Change of Ownership Reports (PCORs) or Transfer Tax Affidavits can be recorded? No, these are not recordable, however, are necessary for most jurisdictions and used as reference documents.

Can Multiple Recordable Documents be submitted in a single eRecording order? Absolutely, you can. When uploading your documents, please specify the desired order for recording.

Is it possible to submit multiple deeds within one order? Yes, it is. However, keep in mind that each deed should be uploaded as a separate attachment, and all the helper documents, such as a PCOR, must be related to the same property or case.

Process Serving

A process server delivers legal documents such as summons, subpoenas, and complaints to individuals or entities involved in a legal proceeding, thereby notifying them of their involvement and ensuring due process of law.

Process servers fulfill an indispensable function within the judicial system, guaranteeing that all involved parties are duly notified of legal proceedings against them, thereby affording them the opportunity to present a response and advocate for their interests in a court of law.

A process server is tasked with the responsibility of delivering judicial documents, such as summons, subpoenas, complaints, and other pertinent legal notices, to individuals or entities to ensure their awareness and compliance with the stipulations of the legal proceedings.

Typically, individuals, corporations, or legal representatives involved in legal proceedings are the ones who receive documents from process servers.

Process servers employ various methods such as public records searches, online databases, surveillance, and skip tracing to locate individuals and ensure accurate and lawful delivery of legal documents.

Should an individual refuse to accept the documents, process servers are typically trained to leave the documents near the individual, often at their feet, and inform them of the contents, thereby fulfilling their legal obligation and ensuring that the service of process is valid.

No, while personal delivery is preferred, process servers also utilize alternative methods such as substituted service, constructive service, and electronic service, depending on the nature of the documents and the jurisdictional regulations, to ensure effective service of legal documents.

Substituted service is an alternate method employed when direct delivery is not feasible, entailing the handing over of legal documents to a responsible adult at the recipient’s domicile or place of employment, contingent upon jurisdictional stipulations.

Service by publication refers to notifying a party of legal proceedings by placing a notice in a public medium, often a newspaper, when traditional methods of service are ineffective or the party’s whereabouts are unknown.

Typically, anyone not a party to the action who meets the specific age guideline is eligible to serve legal documents. However, specific jurisdictions may require licensing or registration.

An affidavit of service is a formal, notarized document provided by a process server as proof that the legal documents have been successfully delivered to the recipient, detailing the time, date, location, and manner of service.

Upon successful delivery, the process server completes and provides the proof or affidavit of service to their client for filing, and the recipient has a designated timeframe to respond, either by filing an answer or appearing in court.

Yes, individuals, if not a party to the action, can often serve legal documents themselves, but hiring a professional process server is recommended to ensure compliance with jurisdictional regulations and secure valid proof of service.

Opting for a professional process server ensures adherence to legal protocols, timely and accurate delivery, provision of incontrovertible proof of service, adept handling of jurisdictional nuances and complexities, and mitigates the risk of conflicts or altercations, thereby upholding the sanctity of the legal proceedings.

Skip Tracing

The minimum amount for Any Type of search is $75.00

Curious about the turnaround time? In most cases, Skip Tracing is completed within 72 hours. Based on our past experiences, reports are typically returned within 48 hours, at times sooner depending on workloads.

Turnaround time for Onsite searches normally takes 5-10 business days.

No! If we find nothing, you pay nothing.

Regular skip traces are conducted through online sources, and the information reported is 15 days old.

Our regular skip traces are not verified, however, we also offer verified Locates at a higher cost. If we do not locate them, the search is free.

Subpoena Domestication

Subpoena domestication is the process of reissuing an out-of-state subpoena in the discovery state so it becomes legally enforceable. Courts in one state don’t have jurisdiction to compel witnesses or records in another state without this step.

UIDDA stands for the Uniform Interstate Depositions and Discovery Act. It allows attorneys to request discovery in other UIDDA-compliant states without needing to file a motion, hire local counsel, or attend a hearing.

UIDDA has been adopted in 47 states. View our interactive UIDDA state list for state-specific procedures. Non-UIDDA states like Texas, Missouri, and Massachusetts require formal filings and local counsel .

No. You must domesticate the subpoena in the discovery state to make it enforceable. Serving it without domestication may lead to rejection or legal challenges.

  • Subpoenas for oral or remote depositions
  • Subpoenas duces tecum (document production)
  • Subpoenas for business records

In UIDDA states, domestication is typically processed within 2–5 business days. In non-UIDDA states, the timeline varies based on court schedules and whether hearings or motions are required.
